IMPORTANT RULES CHANGE
Please be aware that we have updated an item in the Rules for the 2013 Monday Night Spring Trail. You must now fish 15 of the 31 Monday Night events in order to qualify for the Fish Off event. Previously we required teams to fish 26 events. We made this change to allow more teams the opportunity to compete in the final Fish Off Championship event.
The kickoff is MONDAY NIGHT, March 4th, at 6:30 pm at Midway Marina on Lake Norman
We will fish every Monday night, with the exceptions of May 27 (Memorial Day) and September 2 (Labor Day). The last event before the Fish-Off is Monday, October 14th. Each event weigh-in will be at 11 pm, with a 5 bass maximum for each boat.
Our final Fish Off event date will be announced in the coming weeks. We recognize that our originally scheduled date conflicts with other tournaments, so we will be rescheduling the date as soon as we can.
TRAIL MEMBERSHIP FEE: $20 (per Person, one time fee)
Membership Fee covers the entire trail, all 32 events including the championship Fish-off.
EVENT FEE: $50 (per Team, per Event)
Event fees are $50.00 for each event with the exception of the Fish-Off which is $100.00.
BIG FISH AWARD FEE: $10 (per Person, per Event, OPTIONAL)
To participate in the Big Fish award each week, there is an optional Big Fish award fee of $10.00 per person, per event.
Your fees can be paid at the Carolina Coach and Marine dealership, or at each event at the tournament sign location at Midway Marine.
As before, the pay-back will be 100%! We will deduct $10.00 from the proceeds of each of 31 events to be applied to the Fish-Off awards. There will be an award for each six boats participating, plus the Big Fish award at each event.
Twenty five (25) teams will qualify for the championship Fish-Off. The qualifying teams will be determined by the top 25 accumulative team points for the entire Trail.
Note: All qualifying teams are required to fish a minimum of 15 of the 31 events.
Below is an outline of the points system that will be used for the 2013 Monday Night Spring Trail events:
The TOP 5 places will each have a three (3) point spread:
1st place = 100 points
2nd place = 97 points
3rd place = 94 points
4th place = 91 points
5th place = 88 points
The NEXT 5 places (6th thru 10th) will each have a one (1) point spread:
6th place = 86 points
7th place = 85 points
8th place = 84 points
9th place = 83 points
10th place = 82 points
The REMAINING places will also have a one (1) point spread, starting with 11th place:
11th place = 80 points
12th place = 79 points
13th place = 78 points
14th place = 77 points
Points will continue down in increments of 1 point per place to the last team weighing in fish. Any paid entries that do NOT weigh fish will receive 5 points less than the last team weighing in.
For Example: If 30 teams fish and 20 teams weigh in fish, then 20th place will receive 71 points and places 21-30 will receive 66 points.
REMEMBER, you must also fish 15 of the 31 Monday Night events to qualify for the 2013 Fish Off event.
